Most features that can be responsible for draining battery power like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS - are quickly turned off using the notifications panel. From any home screen, swipe down from the top to open the notifications panel. Disable features that are not in use just by touching active features. From here you can also turn on Power Saving, which also aids in battery conservation. Press and hold the Home key to open the Recent apps page.
